With European Union (EU) expansion, IT-based cross-border networks are being widely deployed to allow European governments to communicate with one another.
Dependable and interoperable systems are necessary to ensure that information can be shared and used in a totally secure manner.
To that end, the European Union has developed a system for classifying products at different degrees of security, from EU RESTRICTED to EU TOP SECRET. These classifications attest to the extremely high level of security associated with the information systems used by member states.
After an extensive evaluation phase, the EU has approved the security products developed by Thales and presented on this page. As a result, these products can now be used by all EU member states to protect their information systems.
